Kenya is one of the most culturally rich and developed countries in all of Africa with a mix of landscapes and ethnic groups living together peacefully. It has a population of 48 million people and is known as the economic and transportation hub of East Africa.
However, the country's economic and development trajectory is threatened by poor governance and corruption. More than 43% of people in Kenya, many of them children, live in poverty. The current and devastating food crisis is forcing families to continue migrating in search of food and water. The situation worsens every day and many children are at risk of losing their lives.
Our project here at CMI, is to form support teams that meet basic needs such as child nutrition, health, drinking water, among others. The situation worsens every day; If we do not act now, many children are at risk of losing their lives, affecting their communities as such.
